Assessment Qualifications | Essex

Instructor lead and online learning

Our assessing courses are designed for those who teach qualifications and need to assess their students as well as those who are required to assess within the workplace itself.

These 2 courses can be completed as separate qualification or together as one depending on your requirements.

The principles and practices of assessment module covers the theoretical principles of assessment. It investigates the various different assessment methods and the detailed planning of workplace assessments. Learners are required to complete various tasks throughout the course which are assessed by your tutor. This unit is required if you are teaching a course with simulated assessments.

The assessing competence in the workplace course is all the theory as well as the practical elements. This module requires learners to carry out two assessments on two different employees in their workplace, so four assessments in total. Learners complete a portfolio of the assessment plans, evidence and feedback. This includes your tutor visiting you in your workplace to observe an assessment and give you feedback on your completed portfolio.

The skills I learnt on on my first aid course gave me the confidence and skills to help a man having a heart attack. Thank you
