Assessing vocationally related achievements (TAQA equivalent) | Essex

Blended Learning Course

This course will give you a full vocational assessors qualification

The course is completed in two parts.  The first module being understanding the principles and practices of assessment.  This can be completed through an online learning platform.

The second part will take the form of practical assessments which will assess your abilities when assessing against vocational standards.  You must show that you are able to use observation when assessing in a simulated environment, as well as a variety of other methods that can include, skills tests, oral or written questioning assignments, projects and case studies. You are able to use accredited prior learning for this module if you have completed the Understanding principles and practices of assessment previously.  We can also take other qualification to the awarding body to see if these can be used against any criteria.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment rather than assessing competence in a work environment.

I completed this course with epic training and Hazel was great. I had to juggle working full time, kids, home life etc and Hazel made the whole process so easy. She helped to keep me on track with a plan created just for me and checked in on me regularly to see where I was. There was never any pressure and if I hadn’t had time to do the work she just adjusted my plan to fit in with what was going on at the time. Thanks for your patience, I would never have completed without it.
